In the movie theater was a crowd of people seated in the dark listening to short audio pieces. Small bits of sound cobbled together from 2 years worth of tape, recorded spontaneously over the course of a major love affair. Kyle and Kaitlin basically brought the recorder with them everywhere they went. And we mean, everywhere.
The Audible Picture Show is an international touring show of audio works created for cinema by a diverse range of people including visual artists, filmmakers, animators, radio makers, audio artists, sound designers, writers and musicians, plus a choice selection of found sound. Like a movie, but without the pictures. Founder and curator Matt Hulse featured Audio Smut as the newest contributing artist at the Brooklyn showing.
