THE HEART

The Heart is an audio art project about intimacy and humanity. Founded in Kaitlin Prest’s bedroom in 2014, The Heart is comprised of a community of badass writers, radio makers and artists who make personal documentary work about their bodies and their loves. In 2017, The Heart was named a Peabody Award Finalist.

SHARON MASHIHI  |  Editorial Advisor Before joining the staff of The Heart, Sharon would sit in Kaitlin's bedroom, eating snacks and giving notes on radio stories.  Actually, Sharon still does exactly that, but now she has a title.  Sharon has her hands in many projects including The School of Making Thinking, the forthcoming feature film The Ticket, and the new WNYC podcast, Lies.  Sharon is an avid journaler who can't be sure that anything has happened unless she has written it down.
